Terms & Conditions

. All glass must be paid for in full at time of order.

. For designs that have not been supplied by the customer, displayed on our Client Pages section or been chosen from our Gallery, all decorative glass designs will be positioned in the centre of the glass unless otherwise stated on order.

. We cannot guarantee that toughened glass panels will be perfectly flat because during the toughening process the glass can be warped slightly and this is deemed acceptable in the industry. If the glass is not perfectly flat, the glass will easily straighten up once installed into the appropriate frames.

. During the sandblasting process it is also possible for normal glass and toughened glass to be bent as described above but the glass will also straighten up when it is fitted into the appropriate window/door frames. We cannot guarantee that the glass we supply will be totally flat and customers looking to order frameless glass should accept this fact before placing an order.

. If specific colours are not stated on order with exact colour codes/names, Leadbitter Glass will decide colours to suit design. If the customer is not satisfied with the finished colours, no refund will be given and the customer must pay for any remakes in full.

. As with traditional stained glass materials, colourfilm which is used in all coloured glass projects by Leadbitter Glass can contain imperfections such as speckles of dust in the colour and other marks, grazes and light scratches. This is deemed acceptable and it is an industry standard so decorative glass panels that contain slight marks, dust speckles and other minor blemishes will not be re-manufactured under any circumstance.

. The colour of lead can vary from batch to batch and even roll to roll so Leadbitter Glass does not guarantee that one glass panel will have the exact same colour of lead as another panel in the same job. The manufacturing process of all colours of lead such as antique can produce a varying colour from time to time and we cannot do anything about this so this is classed as standard practice.

. Trade rush orders e.g glass required within a few days may incur a stock delivery charge which Leadbitter Glass will charge if necessary.

. In the unlikely event of Leadbitter Glass supplying a damaged glass panel, Leadbitter Glass must be notified at time of delivery of any marks, scratches or other unacceptable imperfections of the glass.

. Bubbles in Fused Glass Tiles are deemed acceptable as the nature of the materials and the application makes it almost impossible to eradicate.

. All sealed units will be manufactured with silver spacer bar unless stated otherwise on order. If no colour is stated on order, silver will be used and any remakes must be paid for in full by the customer.

. All trade orders must contain order date, required by date, design name / code, glass and spacer size and type, design colours and the signature of the person ordering the glass.

. If no mention of specific lead type is supplied with orders, Leadbitter Glass has the right to use whatever lead deemed appropriate for each job.

. Designs not featured on the Leadbitter Glass website may incur a charge for design work undertaken, so it would be wise to ask for a quote before ordering.

. A charge will be made for visiting a trade clients homes or work place to discuss orders. Please receive a quote before to avoid unexpected charges.

. Fused glass is a hand made product and by its very nature all fused glass products contain various imperfections. Small marks, speckles of colours and other imperfections are deemed acceptable by Leadbitter Glass.

. Almost all decorative glass designs featured on our website LeadbitterGlass.com are owned by Leadbitter Glass and are only available as a finished product by Leadbitter Glass. Legal action will be taken against companies or individuals ordering or manufacturing any of these designs without Leadbitter Glass permission.

. Small bubbles will be deemed acceptable in all bevelled panels.

. All trade brochures remain the property of Leadbitter Glass and will be re-acquired if necessary.

. Leadbitter Glass cannot guarantee an exact match in design or colour to previous jobs added to at different manufacturing times. This is due to the manufacturing process of lead, film, bevels and any other materials used by Leadbitter Glass. Colours chosen from swatches may differ from the actual sheet of colour that arrives and this is classed as industry standard and cannot be avoided.

. Leadwork can be produced on some obscure patterned glass but this will incur an extra charge.

. Designs from this website are priced for the following sizes as follows. All fanlights upto 600mm in length and under 0.3 sq.metre. Split Glazed and Half Glazed Door designs are priced up to 0.6sq.metre. Please receive a quote on any glass larger than these guidelines.

. Responsibility of not requesting toughened glass where it should legally be, lies with the purchaser that orders the glass and not with Leadbitter Glass. For help with calculating the correct requirements, please read this page Safety Glass Regulations or Google 'Safety Glass Regulations'

. All orders will be produced as viewed from outside unless stated otherwise on order.

. All glass used on orders will be clear unless stated otherwise on order.

. In the case of remakes deemed to be the fault of Leadbitter Glass, we will require the glass to be delivered back to Leadbitter Glass for repair or surveying. We will require the original panel to be returned to us before any replacements are made. The reason for this is the high material costs in the manufacture of decorative glass. Leadbitter Glass will not pay any fitting costs or delivery charges in the event of a remake being required no matter who is at fault.

. As Leadbitter Glass products are hand made with sharp tools, we cannot guarantee that all deorative panels are free from small scratches and other marks. Every effort is made to reduce any marking/scratching of the glass, lead, colourfilm and bevels but with the nature of this work, Leadbitter Glass cannot guaranteed a perfect glass panel. Small scratches can be present on finshed decorative glass panels and in almost all cases, replacements are not required.

. All trade account goods ordered & completed remain the property of Leadbitter Glass until paid for in full.

.Leadbitter Glass opening hours are Monday to Friday 9 a.m to 5 p.m. A 24 hr answering machine will be in use to receive faxes and messages out of hours.

. All trade account mistakes on ordering must be paid for in full, if production has commenced.

. All trade quotes given are rough estimates and could differ from final price to around 20% either way but this is very unlikely. Trade and retail quotations will last for 30 days from date of quote.

. All fanlight designs are priced for up to 600mm in length. Longer glass may incur an extra charge for extra decorative work. Trade companies should receive a quote first to avoid any unexpected charges
