Glass. Our studio can now transfer a digital image onto glass aand
by adding soldered lead and overlay stained glass film,
we can create authentic looking stained glass church windows
with many benefits over the traditional method. This new
form of glass is an ideal solution for Churches and religious
buildings and we can create detailed Image Glass windows
for a fraction of the cost of the traditional method of
Stained Glass. Using 21st century technology and traditional
inspiration, we can now manufacture beautiful windows for
Church restorations and similar projects and unlike the
traditional method of Stained Glass, we can create these
windows with regulation toughened glass, Pilkington K energy
saving glass and laminated glass.
What
are the benefits of
There are many problems with the traditional form
of Stained Glass for use in church windows such as easy
breakage, poor energy saving values and poor security levels.
Our new technique can create beautiful church glass using
the best quality energy saving glass sealed units available.
We can also create the glass using regulation 4mm or 6mm
toughened or laminated glass to give any building the highest
level of safety and security available.
21st
century technology with the beauty of yesterday
Using a high quality digital camera, we can photograph original stained glass
windows and recreate the imagery onto glass. On the picture above, photographs
have been taken of the head and both hands and we can then transfer
these images onto toughened Pilkington K glass using our technique.
The rest of the window image has been created using a lead outline and our
coloured glass overlay film to give the 'old' authentic look to the window.
The benefits of our techinque far outweigh the benefits of traditional methods
and last but not least, we can create these windows at a fraction of the cost
of the older method.
Off the shelf designs now available
Leadbitter Glass are now stocking 9 'off the shelf' designs
available for half glazed door panels. All of these nature oval
centres are the same size and can be added to different door designs and borders
to create beautiful door glass for your home or business. We have created 9
different overlay stained glass doors to view and each oval centre can be incorporated
into any of the doors displayed at no extra cost. As with all of our gallery
door designs you can change the colour of the door frame to see how your preferred
design will look in your specific door colour. Click the door on the right
