In
August 2008 the Leadbitter Glass studio was asked by
one of our long-time trade customers to create this beautiful decorative
glass window for one of their
clients' new PVCu arched window frames. The
home owners - Mr & Mrs Bree actually designed
all of the coloured leaded pattern themselves and they
provided
us with an
A4 colour drawing to work from.
4.5mm and 6mm Aged
lead was used throughout
the arched glass design and multiple plain, marbled and
streaked overlay colour films were also used to colour
the individual sections
of the feature window. The decorative glass design was
created using toughened Pilkington
K energy saving double
glazed sealed units.
Since this attractive window was installed,
this actual photo has appeared in many trade brochures,
specialist glass
website
news
articles
and other industry literature around the UK but the Leadbitter
Glass studio was the actual decorative
glass company that created
this original glass feature window.
