Replacement Feature Window Panel Edinburgh

|
In 2012 we were contacted by Mr Millar from Edinburgh and he was quite desperate to replace a broken leaded glass unit that was part of a set of 3 pieces of glass that made up an ornate and colourful landing window. The original window was created by a company called SGO from Glasgow and the customer notified us that they were no longer trading so he could not get a replacement from them.
Mr Millar was quite concered about the colour matching process because he had sent photos of the glass to local glass manufacturers and they all told him they could not match the colours. The images were emailed to our studio and we were very confident that we could get a really close, if not perfect match on all colours used in the design.
Mr Millar sent the original panel to us and as you can see by this photo above, the glass was shattered all over but the leadwork and the colour was still holding the design together. We recreated the design and as you can see by the image below, a near perfect match was achieved. The panel also had an italic text to the top of the window and we also recreated this perfectly.
