In late 2011 we received an order for door glass featuring Fused Glass tiles along with Satin privacy glass. The client was a property developer from York and they had a very specific idea of what they wanted. The door glass on the left was created for a bathroom and the whole glass panel was Satin glass to help with the privacy. You can see a close up of the stars in the design on the Satin page.
You will notice that there is a different texture running down the centre of the door glass and when we applied this texture, the Satin allowed it to show through the glass really well. The Satin face was inside the bathroom and the etched stars were sandblasted onto the outer side of the glass to give a different tone to the design. The black Fused Glass tiles were UV bonded to the outer face of the glass.
On the right we have one of the cupboard doors also ordered by the same client and we created these with clear toughened glass with grey Fused Glass Tiles and a sandblasted border featuring clear stars.
