Coloured
Etched Glass
We
are pleased to announce a new product that is now available
from the Leadbitter Glass Studio.
Our new Coloured Etch Glass is an ideal product for commercial
projects, architectural projects or customers requiring something very unique and original. Eight
different colours can now be added to our standard etched/sandblasted
glass to create this unique and modern decorative
glass
product.
Leadbitter
Glass can now add a twist to our popular etched glass
product by adding different colours to the etched
area of a sandblasted glass panel. Our advanced chemical
nanotechnology also provides a proven anti-fingerprint
effect that dimishes
the chance of dirt and soiling with standard glass cleaners
and organic solvents. Our new coloured glass protection
system is applied to the etched design to give a unique
effect to the sandblasted glass design.
Sandblasted
glass has enjoyed somewhat of a resurgence into UK
homes and businesses in recent
years as it combines simple elegance with high levels
of privacy.
Our new coloured etched glass system offers
another simple and cost-effective decorative
glass product
to our vast range of glass options available. The system
has a unique range of eight colours that give delicate
colour to sandblasted
glass
along
with
excellent
protection
properties. These colours can also be mixed together to
produce almost any shade for complete design flexibility.
The 'Che Guevara' design above has been etched
with a sandblasting machine first and then the colour pigments
have been added
to specific areas to give the finished effect.
Below you can see the range of colours but what is noticeable is that the colours look somewhat faded under different lighting conditions. Notice the orange square (100) which is second on the left of the bottom row, that same colour was used in the Che Guevara panel above but the colour looks more vibrant in that photo. This is because the Etched Glass colours appear more vibrant or faded under different lighting conditions. In the below image the Red square (105) on the top row hardly shows at all under bright conditions.
We can supply a full size glass sample as shown below to customers for a small charge and this will allow you to see exactly how the etched colours appear 'in the flesh'. Please contact the studio to enquire.
